Tofino 1.7 Upgrade

  • On March 9, 2012 an upgrade to the Tofino Industrial Security Solution was released. An overview of the release is available  on the Support News page.

  • This upgrade is free of charge to all customers whose products are covered by a Premium Maintenance Support Contract. 

  •  IMPORTANT NOTE: to download the upgrade you need to be a member of this website. If you are not a member, register here.

1.7 Support Notes

  • Customers currently running Tofino version 1.5 or earlier should contact technical support for instructions before starting this upgrade.

  • Tofino installations that were purchased more than 90 days ago will need their license updated before installing this upgrade. This can be done by creating a new license request file in the Tofino CMP and e-mailing it to us. We will return a new license grant file within 1 business day.

  • As a precaution, we recommend that customers ensure they have an up-to-date backup of their Tofino CMP database before beginning the update

Byres Security offers the Tofino Premium Maintenance Support Contract that extends your normal warranty coverage and places several advanced support tools and services at your disposal:

  • Worldwide telephone and e-mail support

  • Free updates to new versions of Tofino CMP software, Tofino Security Appliance firmware, and device and vulnerability databases

  • Access to premium support content on the Tofino web site

  • Free repair/replacement of out-of-warranty Tofino hardware
