Eric Byres' Article 'Protecting your Plant' Honored by the American Society of Business Publications Editors

September 2009, 'Protecting your Plant', written by Byres Security CTO Eric Byres, has been recognized with a Midwest Silver award from the American Society of Business Publications Editors (ASBPE).

 

In 'Protecting your Plant', Eric Byres discusses how to protect your plant by avoiding basic errors in cyber security strategies.  Specifically, he addesses:

  • IT limitations

  • Multiple paths for attack

  • Common plant cyber-security mistakes

  • Easy targets

  • Defense in depth

Eric finishes by highlighting the need to consider the human aspects of security such as policy development and staff training.
