Our team is comprised of a group of talented and dedicated professionals possessing many years of experience in industrial network security, SCADA, the process control ∕ critical infrastructure industries, and IT. 

Our leaders and key people who work with prospects and customers are presented below:

Randy Klassen

Director of Business Development

Randy works with the sales, marketing and product development teams to position the Tofino product message for various sales channels. Channel development and sales training are also included in his responsibilities. 

Randy has more than 14 years of business development and product management experience in the process industry and SCADA world and has been actively involved with ISA and other industry committees and conferences since the mid 1990s.

Heather MacKenzie

Director of Marketing

Heather oversees the development and execution of the Tofino marketing plan.

She has a depth of experience in leadership roles with high tech start-ups, including starting and leading the digital photofinishing business at Future Shop / Best Buy Canada, and leading the marketing and ecommerce groups at Seagate Software / Crystal Services (now part of SAP), the developers of Crystal Reports. Heather has B.Sc. and MBA degrees.

Scott Howard

Technical Sales Manager

Scott Howard is Technical Sales Manager at Byres Security Inc, a world leader in security solutions for process control, automation and SCADA systems. In this role, Scott has worked with customers around the world to help them improve the reliability of their control systems through enhanced cyber security.

Scott has almost 30 years’ experience in embedded system development, technical sales and product marketing with companies such as Motorola (now Freescale) Semiconductor, Embedded Support Tools and Wind River Systems. Scott has been with Byres Security since 2007, where he was Product Development Manager during the first two releases of the Tofino Industrial Security Solution until transitioning to his current role in 2008. Scott is a graduate of the Electrical/Electronics Technology program at Camosun College in Victoria BC.

Brian Kline

Account Manager

Brian is responsible for developing and supporting the distribution channel for Tofino. He interacts daily with channel partners to ensure their needs are met and to assist with sales.

Brian has over 15 years of experience in the electronics industry, in customer service & support, technical writing & training, sales & marketing, and account/project management.  He has worked at companies such as Xantrex Technology, Raytheon, and Cooper Industries.

Laura Mattson

Project Manager

Using her organizational and people skills, Laura manages development projects and co-ordinates office administration work.

Laura has B.A. and B. Ed. degrees, and prior to working in industrial cyber security she was a teacher.
